The new normal doesn’t have to mean you lack for things to do around Hilton Head. We are so lucky to live in a place that outdoor adventures are a part of our daily life. Biking, beaching, golfing, nature walks, kayaking, etc, can all safely and easily be done without a crowd.
Outside Hilton Head is a leader in outdoor activities on the island. You’ll meet in Shelter Cove Marina. All of the proper safety precautions are being followed, all of the equipment was very clean, and tour departure times staggered. The feeling of drifting, paddling through the Spartina Grass and being up close with nature is a feeling like no other. Especially now, when up close and personal is so frowned upon. You’ll see marsh birds like the blue heron and snowy egret, dolphins, crabs, oyster beds, pluff mud and learn all about our marsh ecosystem.
A few other great ideas for distanced outdoor fun…
Pinkney Island Preserve
Savannah Wildlife Refuge
Biking around the Island
Beach, particulary at low tide
Paddle Boarding from Shelter Cove or Harbourtown Marinas
Day trip to Hunting Island State Park – nature trails, shells and shark teeth hunting
We can’t wait to see you on Hilton Head this summer!
